Guidance on Label and Specification of Drinking water-related Products will enter into force on 1 October 2013 in China

September 2013, the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China (previously MOH) states that the Guidance on Label and specification of Drinking water-related product will enter into force on 1 October 2013.

This guidance clearly identified key items that must be indicated on the label of drinking water-related products. Meanwhile, some ambiguous and illegal descriptions are forbidden to be given on the label.

Drinking water-related products refer to transmission and distribution equipment, protective material, water treatment material, water treatment device and other new materials and chemical substances which will contact drinking water during the production and supply of drinking water.
